About The Event
The event will start with a community social at 5:30pm (to which all are welcome to join)
followed by Dr. Kelsey's keynote talk at 6:30pm.
Recognizing the need to support our children and students in these uncertain times, the JICS Lab School Parents' Association is thrilled to welcome Dr. Elin Kelsey, a distinguished professor at the University of Victoria School of Environmental Studies and renowned author, to speak to parents and educators about nurturing children’s wellbeing and resilience in response to the climate crisis.
An award-winning children’s book author, speaker and thought-leader for the evidence-based hope and climate justice solutions movement, Dr. Kelsey emphasizes the importance of hopeful narratives in addressing environmental challenges. She speaks around the world, engaging people in conversations that spread and amplify environmental solutions.
